At Luuqad we are committed to protecting your privacy and your family's personal information. This policy explains what we collect, why, how we protect it, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect little.
1. Who we are
Luuqad is made by Duraan Ali. You can reach us at support@luuqad.com or through the contact page.
2. Information we collect
- Account details. When you create an account we store the email address you sign up with (or the identifier provided by Sign in with Apple), a display name and, if you choose to add one, a profile picture. The camera and photo library are used only to let you pick that picture; we never access photos for any other purpose.
- Learning progress. Lessons completed, quiz scores, XP, day streaks, level and game progress. This is what makes the app remember where you are and what powers the leaderboard.
- Leaderboard information. Your display name, profile picture and points are shown to other learners on the leaderboard. Choose a display name you are happy to share.
- Purchase information. Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We receive a confirmation that a subscription is active (through RevenueCat, our subscription service) but never your card or bank details.
- Technical information. Basic device and app-version information and crash reports so we can fix problems. We do not use advertising identifiers and the app contains no third-party advertising.
The website luuqad.com collects nothing beyond the standard server logs of our hosting provider. It sets no tracking cookies. Emails you send us are kept so we can reply.
3. How we use it
To run the app (sign you in, save progress, show the leaderboard, unlock what you have paid for), to support you when you write to us, to fix bugs, and to understand in aggregate which lessons and games are used so we can improve them. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
4. Children's privacy
Luuqad is designed for children to use with their families, and it is rated 4+ on the App Store. We expect accounts to be created and managed by a parent or guardian. Account, subscription and settings screens sit in a Grown-ups area. The app contains no chat between users, no advertising and no links out to social media from the children's screens. If you believe a child has provided personal information without a parent's consent, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
5. Where data is stored and who processes it
Accounts and progress are stored with Supabase, our database and authentication provider, on servers in the United States. Subscriptions are handled by Apple and RevenueCat. Transactional emails (such as password resets) are sent by Resend. Each of these providers processes data only on our instructions and under its own privacy commitments. We do not share personal information with anyone else except when the law requires it.
6. Security
Data travels encrypted between the app and our servers, and access to our systems is limited to the people who maintain the app. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
7. Your choices and rights
- Delete your account. From the Grown-ups area inside the app, or by emailing support@luuqad.com from the address on the account. Deleting the account removes your profile and progress from our systems.
- Access or correct your data. Email us and we will send you what we hold or fix what is wrong.
- Subscriptions. Manage or cancel in your Apple ID subscription settings; we cannot see or change your payment details.
- Regional rights. If you live in the UK, the EU, California or another place with data-protection law, you have the rights that law gives you, including to object to processing and to complain to a regulator. Write to us first and we will help.
8. Retention
We keep account data for as long as the account exists. When you delete the account, personal data is removed within 30 days, except for records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons and anonymous aggregate statistics.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app changes. The date at the top shows the latest version, and material changes will be announced in the app.
