Your child understands Somali. Luuqad helps them speak it.
Most diaspora children hear Somali every day and answer in English. That is normal, and it is fixable. Luuqad gives your child the words, the native voices to copy, and a reason to come back tomorrow, in ten minutes a day that fits around school, dugsi and dinner.

Ten-minute routine
One lesson or one quiz and a game. Same time every day: after dinner, before the bedtime story.
Voices to copy
Every word is a native Somali speaker. Your child hears hooyo the way ayeeyo says it, then says it back.
Motivation that works
XP, day streaks, levels and a friendly weekly leaderboard. Enough to want tomorrow's session, not enough to cause tears.
Grown-ups area
Account, subscription and settings behind a simple check, so children stay in the learning screens.
Say them tonight. Hear them here first.
Tap the speaker, say the word together, then use it at the moment it belongs to: good morning at breakfast, water at the table, sleep at bedtime. Words learned in their moment stick.

Questions parents ask
My child is five. Is that too young?
No. The lessons are pictures and native audio, so pre-readers can use them with a parent beside them. Quizzes use pictures and sound rather than reading.
How much time a day is enough?
Ten minutes. One topic lesson or one quiz and a game. Consistency beats length, which is what the day streak is for.
I do not speak Somali well myself. Can I still help?
Yes. The native recordings do the pronouncing; you do the encouraging. Many parents relearn alongside their children, and the free online dictionary lets you look up any word.
Is it safe?
Rated 4+, no third-party ads, no chat between users, and account and subscription settings kept behind a Grown-ups area. See our privacy policy.
