'UN · Starts with c, the deep throat sound; the u is short, as in put.
Cun (Eat): illustration from the Luuqad Activities lesson

Meaning

Cun means eat; it is the command to one child. The plural command is cuna, and I am eating is waan cunayaa. The noun for food, cunto, comes from the same root, so cuntada cun is eat the food.

Tip: Cun is not the English word un: tighten the throat as you start the sound.

Example sentences

Cuntadaada cun.Eat your food.
Waan cunayaa.I am eating.

Using Cun at home

Point at the real thing and say "Cun" whenever it comes up, then let your child hear the native recording and say it back. One word used ten times in a day beats ten words drilled once. In the Luuqad app, Cun is taught with a picture, tested in the Activities quiz.
