Meaning

Dameer Farow is the zebra. The first word, dameer, is donkey, so a child who knows the donkey already has half the name. Zebras live on the plains of East Africa, and the black-and-white stripes make this one of the easiest animals to recognise in the app.

Tip: Say the two words as one name: da-MEER FA-row.

Example sentences

Kani waa dameer farow. This is a zebra.
Dameer farow waa madow iyo cadaan.A zebra is black and white.

Using Dameer Farow at home

Point at the real thing and say "Dameer Farow" whenever it comes up, then let your child hear the native recording and say it back. One word used ten times in a day beats ten words drilled once. In the Luuqad app, Dameer Farow is taught with a picture, tested in the Animals quiz and practised in Baadiyo Journey and Animal Trails.
