Meaning

Beer means park or garden, and also a farm or field. It is a feminine noun: beerta, the park. The same letters spell the word for liver, and the article tells them apart: beerta is the garden, beerka is the liver.

Tip: Beerta aan tagno (let's go to the park) is a sentence children learn fast.

Example sentences

Beerta aan tagno.Let's go to the park.
Carruurtu beerta ayay ku ciyaarayaan. The children are playing in the park.

Using Beer at home

Point at the real thing and say "Beer" whenever it comes up, then let your child hear the native recording and say it back. One word used ten times in a day beats ten words drilled once. In the Luuqad app, Beer is taught with a picture, tested in the City quiz and practised in Baadiyo Journey.
