Meaning

Quraac means breakfast, the first meal of the day. In a Somali home it usually means canjeero with tea, or bread and eggs, eaten together before school. The verb quraaco means to have breakfast, so "maxaad quraacatay?" asks what you had for breakfast.

Using Quraac at home

Point at the real thing and say "Quraac" whenever it comes up, then let your child hear the native recording and say it back. One word used ten times in a day beats ten words drilled once. In the Luuqad app, Quraac is taught with a picture, tested in the Food quiz and practised in Baadiyo Journey and Market Day.
