Meaning

Nabadgelyo means goodbye. Nabad means peace and gelyo comes from gal, to enter, so Nabadgelyo wishes that you go into peace. It is the standard goodbye, said by the person leaving. The person staying replies Nabadeey, which also means go in peace, and both sides may add Is arag danbe (see you later). It is suitable for everyone, from a friend to an elder.
