Meaning

Gacan is the hand. It is feminine: the hand is gacanta, and the plural is gacmo, so the hands is gacmaha. Like the English word, gacan also means help: gacan i sii is give me a hand.

Tip: The plural changes inside the word, gacan to gacmo, a pattern several body parts follow.

Using Gacan at home

Point at the real thing and say "Gacan" whenever it comes up, then let your child hear the native recording and say it back. One word used ten times in a day beats ten words drilled once. In the Luuqad app, Gacan is taught with a picture, tested in the Face & Body quiz and practised in Drag & Learn.
