Meaning

Casho means dinner, the evening meal. It is often lighter than lunch, perhaps canjeero with suqaar, or leftovers from qado. The verb cashee means to have dinner, and "casho wanaagsan" is the evening version of "enjoy your meal".

Example sentences

Casho wanaagsan.Enjoy your dinner.
Cashadu waa diyaar.Dinner is ready.

Using Casho at home

Point at the real thing and say "Casho" whenever it comes up, then let your child hear the native recording and say it back. One word used ten times in a day beats ten words drilled once. In the Luuqad app, Casho is taught with a picture, tested in the Food quiz and practised in Baadiyo Journey and Market Day.
